Shelter Program
Providing shelter for Women, Trans, Two-Spirit, Non-Binary, and gender-diverse people, and their children (if they have them), who are single or those with children who are currently experiencing abuse and need immediate shelter. The program helps Women, Trans, Two-Spirit, Non-Binary, and gender-diverse individuals, children, and youth heal from violence through counselling, child and youth programs, housing support, legal support, and more.
Outreach Support Program:
This program provides counselling, advocacy, food bank, legal, housing and resource supports to help adults and families who have experienced violence rebuild their lives. The primary goal of the program is to provide support to women and/or trans, Two-spirit, non-binary and gender diverse people and their children to find and secure affordable housing. In addition, the program counsellors plan and facilitate community workshops and special events.

How you can help if you suspect that a loved one is being abused.
Recognize the warning signs: do some research on the internet or contact the Assaulted Women’s Helpline to learn about the various signs of abuse.
Be open, present, and listen to your loved one.
Ask how you can help and respect her choices, whatever they may be; Let her tell you when she is ready to leave
Stay in contact and do NOT confront the abuser.
