Celebrating Susan Forrest

A Legacy of Compassion and Support

In loving memory of Susan Forrest, a pillar of strength, compassion, and love, Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter mourns the passing of a remarkable supporter and friend. Susan’s journey with Ernestine’s spanned over 15 years, leaving an indelible mark on our organization through her unwavering dedication and profound generosity.

Susan’s impact on Ernestine’s extends far beyond words. Her commitment to our cause was exemplified through her instrumental role in developing our Public Service Announcement (PSA). With meticulous care, she organized actors, directors, and every detail, ensuring our message of support and empowerment reached those in need. Susan’s passion for our mission radiated through every aspect of her involvement, leaving an enduring legacy of compassion and advocacy.

Beyond her invaluable contributions to Ernestine’s, Susan and her husband were steadfast attendees of our events, including the cherished Ernestine’s Affair for over a decade. Their presence and support enriched our community, fostering a sense of unity and purpose that will be deeply missed.

As we bid farewell to Susan, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband Ira, the Forrest family, and all who were touched by her extraordinary spirit.

Susan’s unwavering dedication to Ernestine’s spanned over 15 years, shaping our organization’s journey with profound generosity. Though Susan may have left this world, her spirit of compassion and commitment will forever inspire us to carry forward with love, compassion, and humanity.
