Empowering Transitions: Outreach Programs

Ernestine's Outreach Support Programs provides a lifeline for survivors of domestic violence, offering a safe bridge to independence. Through secure housing and compassionate outreach, we empower individuals and families to rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience. Our program is a beacon of support, guiding survivors towards a violence-free future with tailored assistance, counselling, and community resources. At Ernestine's, we believe in providing not just shelter but a transformative journey towards lasting empowerment.

Food Bank Program

Food Bank Program is a vital resource, providing low-barrier access to essential food and hygiene items. Recognizing the diverse needs of our residents and outreach clients, this program ensures that individuals and families can access nutritious meals and personal care items with ease. Focused on eliminating barriers to essential resources, we prioritize dignity and choice in our approach, fostering a supportive environment where everyone can maintain their well-being as they rebuild their lives from the impact of violence.

Housing Program

In the Ernestine's Child and Youth Program, we prioritize Recognizing the Impact of Violence by creating a secure environment for children and youth to openly discuss and share their own experiences. We understand the importance of providing a safe space where their voices can be heard without judgment. Through guided discussions, supportive counselling, and age-appropriate activities, we aim to validate their feelings, helping them navigate the complexities of their experiences. By fostering open dialogue, we empower children to reclaim their narratives, facilitating healing and resilience on their journey towards brighter, violence-free tomorrows.

Legal Supports

As part of our commitment to Early Prevention, the Child and Youth Program at Ernestine's actively informs children and youth of their rights and advocates for their well-being. Through a combination of individual and group counselling sessions, we empower them with knowledge and skills to navigate life's challenges. Our holistic approach extends beyond individual support; we also provide invaluable assistance to mothers and children/youth, ensuring they have access to essential resources. By instilling a sense of agency and awareness early on, we strive to create a foundation for lifelong empowerment, resilience, and the prevention of future adversities.
