The 23rd annual Ernestine Affair was a great success! Thank you for showing your support for the women, children, and youth at Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter. As SIloni Waraich stated last night, “It is so important to recognize all of you every year, for helping us get here, step by step”.
Last night at the Carlu, you raised your hands to stand up for women and protect children. Not only did you support the child and youth programs at Ernestine’s, but many of you also got to take home some wonderful auction items with you.
The food was scrumptious, and the wine was delectable. The event host, Fiona Reid, was funny and charming. She shared with us a fantastic performance as Her Majesty, the Queen. We laughed, we cried, we celebrated – and most importantly, we stood up.
The most special and inspiring part of the evening were the award presentations. The winners of the Ernestine Van Marle Inspiration Award and the Natalie Novak Youth Award, Sophia and Edward, gave incredibly touching speeches that warmed our hearts.
Last night’s Ernestine Affair was made possible thanks to the incredible volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly to create an enjoyable evening and raise money for an important cause, as well as the sponsors who so generously supported Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter.
Once again, thank you for an incredible evening. It was a success because of you.
